Inov8 Road-X Shoes finally start to arrive

Thse of you who know of Inov8 will be aware that they have established a superb reputation for off-road running shoes.

After a long wait we are finally starting to receive stock of the new Inov8 Road -X range of road running shoes. We have so far received the ladies Road-X 238 and mens Road-X 255 and Road-X 233. These are the less extreme models with 9mm and 6mm of heel elevation and quite a bit of cushioning. The 3mm and 0mm elevation shoes are not due until May.

The Road-X range of shoes is designed to offer the traditional heel striker a full range of transition shoes with gradually decreasing cushioning and heel elevation so that they can  make the progression to barefoot running in stages. This is a contentious issue to some who would argue that the best option is to go straight to a full-on pair of barefoot style shoes and avoid intermediate stages. Whatever your politics on this issue at least Inov8 will be covering all bases and offering the customer the choice.

The shoe (well it’s not really a shoe) that is attracting most interest is the Evoskin. This might best be described as a silicon sock and will become the nearest to barefoot of any other piece of footwear. We cannot wait to try them.
